The MindSpan Difference
The team at MindSpan has extensive experience delivering projects utilizing both Agile and Waterfall principles. Determining the right approach for your company will play a critical role in the success of any project.
AGILE
There are several factors that determine if an agile approach is right for your project. These include your company culture, how much is known about the complexity of the project and the type of project it is (Hardware/Software, Process Change, Product Development). Evaluating these criteria along with others will determine if an agile approach will ensure the greatest opportunity for success.
WATERFALL
Agile methodologies have gotten most the attention these days but there are still instances where utilizing conventional waterfall methodology may be the best approach. Projects where the requirements and deliverables are well known by the stakeholders, strict timeline or budget constraints need to be met or the need to adhere to compliance or regulatory requirements may dictate a waterfall approach.
HYBRID
Hybrid methodologies attempt to take the best aspects from agile and waterfall and merge them into a single approach. Typically effort is spent upfront to provide a high level perspective of the requirements that provides a better understanding of projected time lines and anticipated resources. Once requirements are defined, an iterative approach is then implemented to complete defined tasks.
